It guides immigrants, students and expats through visas, residence permits, taxes and everyday démarches in their own language — and its agent can fill the official government forms for them. The user always reviews and submits; Paperasse never files anything on its own.

Paperasse AI turns French bureaucracy into a guided conversation. Users chat with an agent that knows the procedures (visa, titre de séjour, impôts, CAF, business filings), reads their documents, builds their dossier, and — through a browser extension using computer-use — fills the official government portals step by step, like a careful human assistant. A phone camera mode, Form Lens, guides users box by box through paper forms. Every answer is grounded in cited official sources, and the knowledge layer is open source (the MIT-licensed demarches-skills repository), so anyone can audit what the agent believes. The safety rule is absolute: the agent fills, the user submits — it never performs the final, irreversible step. Paperasse is available on the web, iOS, Android and as a Chrome extension, in six languages (EN, FR, ES, PT, AR, 中文).

What makes it different

Three things. First, execution, not just advice: the agent operates the actual government portals with the user watching, instead of leaving them alone with a checklist. Second, a trust hierarchy: answers are grounded in verified box maps, curated procedure skills and cited official excerpts before the model's general knowledge is ever used — and uncited answers are visible as such. Third, an open knowledge commons: the agent's knowledge layer is public and MIT-licensed, while only the execution machinery stays private.
