Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Paperasse, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form the agreement between you and the Paperasse team regarding your use of the service.
What Paperasse is
Paperasse is an AI-powered assistant that helps you understand and complete French administrative procedures (taxes, residence permits, CAF, company formation, and more). Paperasse provides guidance and information, not legal, tax or immigration advice. You remain solely responsible for your filings and dealings with the authorities.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, have the legal capacity to enter into a contract, and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
Subscription, credits & payment
Access is by subscription, which may be complemented by credits for the work done by the AI. The prices that apply are shown to you at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we never store your full card number. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date; you can manage or cancel it from the billing area. Purchased credits are consumed by use and are non-refundable once used, except where the law provides otherwise.
Your content
You keep ownership of the documents and information you provide. You grant Paperasse a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of delivering the service (see our privacy policy). You confirm you have the right to provide that content. We never sell your data.
AI output — guidance, not advice
The assistant's answers may contain inaccuracies or omissions and are not a substitute for a professional (a lawyer, chartered accountant or notary). Always verify important information against the official source cited before relying on it. Deadlines, amounts and rules change over time: the official source prevails.
Browser extension & automation
If you use the extension, it operates only on supported portals and only on your explicit instruction. It may fill in and navigate a form on your behalf, but you review and you submit: Paperasse never validates or submits a form for you. Likewise, when Paperasse drafts an email it only prepares a draft — it never sends it; you review and send it yourself. You are responsible for anything that is submitted or sent.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Paperasse lawfully. You must not use it to produce false statements or misleading documents for any authority, to disrupt or abuse the service, or to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend an account for breach.
Third-party services & official portals
Paperasse is not affiliated with the French authorities and is not a public service. Official portals and third-party providers have their own terms, which govern your use of those services.
Availability & changes
The service is provided "as is". We may change, add or remove features and carry out maintenance. We aim for continuity of service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Paperasse team is not liable for indirect damages, nor for decisions you make based on the guidance provided. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this clause.
Termination
You can delete your account and data at any time from the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute you may first contact us at contact@paperasse.ai to seek an amicable resolution; as a consumer you may also use a consumer mediation service. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will let you know; continuing to use the service after the update date means you accept the revised terms.
